Series C Financing
Metropolis raises $1.7 billion in Series C financing and reaches an agreement to acquire SP Plus Corporation. With the acquisition, Metropolis will be able to bring new capabilities to North America’s leading parking network across over 360 cities, serving millions of consumers and processing over $4 billion in payments annually.

Metropolis acquires Premier Parking
The acquisition pairs Metropolis’s product offering with an industry-leading operator of 500+ parking locations.
Metropolis raises a $167 million Series B to facilitate expansion.
2022
Market growth and expansion
Metropolis raises a $41 million Series A. This capital is used to grow our team and build out the product, leading to expansions in New York, San Francisco, Nashville, Austin, and Seattle.
2021
Network growth and product development
Metropolis broadens its footprint across different asset types in Los Angeles. The platform is integrated into field operations and new use cases are explored in Class A office buildings, multi-garage complexes, and valet services.
2019
First location launched
The first application of Metropolis platform is deployed at a commercial garage in Venice, CA. This signals the first productization of proprietary Metropolis technology.
2018
Founding
The founding team began building a platform that would effortlessly provision access to authorized vehicles, laying the groundwork for today’s product.
