Metropolis named to CNBC Disruptor 50 for second year in a row

We’re working to eliminate a world filled with repetition, but this news is something we’re honored to be a part of (again).

Metropolis has been named to CNBC's 2026 Disruptor 50 list, the fourteenth edition of the annual ranking celebrating the most innovative private companies reshaping the global economy. It's our second consecutive year on the list — and a reflection of what happens when a bold idea meets real-world execution.

That idea is the Recognition Economy.

We've spent years building toward a future where access is instant, payments are effortless and the environments around you respond to who you are — not what you can prove. A future where you no longer have to constantly re-identify yourself at every door, every counter, every checkout.

A world where your presence is enough.

Metropolis is the infrastructure that makes this possible by fusing computer vision and machine learning to transform static spaces into intelligent, anticipatory environments, starting with parking and expanding across aviation, drive-thrus, fueling, hospitality and beyond.

CNBC's Disruptor 50 has long been a bellwether for companies building what's next. Being named once again builds on our recent inclusion on TIME100’s Most Influential Companies of 2026 list and proves our vision of the Recognition Economy is one the world is starting to see, too.
