Recognizing 30 million Members

The Metropolis Network is continuing to grow, and getting more valuable with every new Member.

Across 4,500+ locations in North America, Metropolis now serves more than 30M Members, and that number continues to grow by 1M new Members every month.

To put that growth in context: 1M new Members a month equates to about the population of San Jose, California or Austin, Texas joining us every 30 days. Thirty million Members is equivalent to the population of Texas, the second largest state in the U.S.

At this scale, Metropolis has reached a new tier of market penetration — one most infrastructure networks never approach.

Each new Member makes every Metropolis Location more valuable, and each new location expands access for every Member. Powered by recognition, the two effects compound, creating a network that delivers measurable benefits for guest experience and operational performance.

Connecting a network 30+ million strong

The Metropolis Network is the combination of all our locations, our 30M+ Members and the technology and partnerships that connect them. It’s a system designed to get smarter and more valuable with every interaction.

Physical infrastructure treats every property as an isolated destination. Metropolis connects them through our Recognition Platform, which combines AI and computer vision to provide instant access, effortless payments and predictive experiences.

When a Member arrives at a Metropolis-powered location, their vehicle is recognized, access is automatic and payment happens seamlessly when they leave. The next time they visit another Metropolis Location, whether it's an airport, hotel or stadium, they don't have to start over.

That continuity is what makes the network increasingly valuable as it grows. It's becoming smarter and more connected for everyone.

The value of scale

Reaching 30M Members is one measure of the network's growth. The more meaningful metrics come from what the network actually enables.

As the Membership base expands, Partners immediately gain access to built-in demand from Members who already know, trust and prefer recognition-powered experiences.

In the U.S., one in eight, or 12%, of licensed drivers are Metropolis Members. That number increases to more than 25% in states like Texas, where we recently celebrated hitting 5M Members.

Every transaction removes a step — a ticket, a kiosk, a wait — and those small removals add up to measurable time and revenue gains across the network.

Collectively, that represents billions of minutes saved — time that would otherwise be spent searching for tickets or wallets, waiting at payment kiosks and repeating identification.

Partners tapping into the scale of the Metropolis Network see an average +15% year-over-year revenue increase and measurable operational efficiencies. They also benefit from vertical integration, cross-category activation and incremental Member acquisition as they join a growing recognition system.

Growing the Recognition Economy

Recognition lets infrastructure understand presence and creates continuity across otherwise isolated transactions. The Metropolis Recognition Platform is the Intelligence Layer for the physical world: the foundation of the Recognition Economy.

As the Recognition Economy expands across hospitality, airports, retail, restaurants, events and beyond, the network becomes stronger — every new vertical adds reach for every Partner and Member.

The infrastructure for the Recognition Economy is being built right now, location by location, Member by Member, vertical by vertical.

Outside recognition is following this progress. Metropolis was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential Companies and one of their 10 Most Influential Transportation Companies of 2026. We were also included in the CNBC Disruptor 50 for the second year in a row, reflecting that our vision for the Recognition Economy is one that the world is starting to realize.

Thirty million Members means tens of millions of seamless transactions and an ecosystem that becomes more responsive with every interaction. It means our Partners benefit from rapidly growing built-in demand and continuity across categories, properties, cities and experiences.

It's proof that Recognition has reached infrastructure scale.
